On the morning of August 25th, Sichuan Guodong held a grand public welfare student assistance activity themed "Guodong Communications Connects Thousands of Families · Aiding Education to Build Dreams and Create the Future" in Yuxing Town, Zhongjiang County, Deyang City – the hometown of Huang Jiguang, a special-grade hero. Xu Ningbo, Secretary of the Party Committee of Yuxing Town, Zeng Gang, Vice Chairman of the Federation of Trade Unions of Jinjiang District, Chengdu, Xie Xiaoyun, Standing Vice Chairman of the Federation of Trade Unions of Zhongjiang County, and Luo Chuanquan, General Manager of Sichuan Guodong, jointly attended the event. Local relevant media reported on this public welfare student assistance activity and highly praised Sichuan Guodong for actively fulfilling its social responsibilities and giving back to society.
This activity aggregated the love of all staff of Sichuan Guodong, and together, a total of 20,000 yuan of student assistance funds was donated to 8 students from disadvantaged families in Yuxing Town. Government and enterprise representatives gathered together, and through practical actions, they inherited the heroic spirit, empowered the revitalization of rural education, and demonstrated the profound feelings of the government and enterprises in the new era working in solidarity and sharing missions.
In his speech, General Manager Luo mentioned that Zhongjiang is a land of heroes, where Huang Jiguang's great spirit of patriotism and revolutionary heroism has been passed down from generation to generation. He encouraged the students to inherit the heroic genes of their hometown, stand up and move forward courageously at critical moments, be perseverance, take responsibility and make contributions, temper their will in adversity, and let their youth bloom through hard work. At the end of the activity, the Federation of Trade Unions of Zhongjiang County presented a silk banner to Sichuan Guodong to express gratitude for its dedication to public welfare and its responsibility of repaying the society.
